After calling it a career at the end of the NBL24 season, Brad Newley was honoured by his former Spanish club, Gran Canaria, at their most recent home game.
Newley, who spent four seasons on the Spanish island playing with Gran Canaria, helped lead the club to strong success, including a trip to both the Copa Del Rey and Euro Cup Finals.

The basketball legend was showered with MVP chants as he spoke to the crowd inside Gran Canaria Arena at halftime of the club’s victory over Joventut Badalona.
As previously announced, Newley is set to remain with United in an off-court role moving forward, assisting with United’s corporate and community partners.
