Incoming United guard Flynn Cameron is counting down the days until he arrives in Melbourne.

The Kiwi dynamo is currently finishing his schooling at the University of California, Riverside, however the work on his game has been relentless.

Speaking to MU Media, Cameron said he’s buzzing with anticipation ahead of touching back down in Australia.

“It’s just so exciting,”

“It’s a new adventure, a new opportunity to look forward to. My motivation has always been there but since I signed, the training has gone to another level.”

Since his signing, United have put together one of the league’s strongest rosters featuring an elite collection of local talent, including Matthew Dellavedova, Jo Lual-Acuil Jr and Luke Travers.

Looking at his new collection of teammates, Cameron believes he’s in the perfect place to embark on his first professional campaign.

“It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to be a part of this team,” he explained.

“I’m just glad to be around players who have made a huge impact on the NBL and on leagues around the world.

“I know I’m going to take it all in, to learn and grow in a new environment while playing for this club.”

One player Cameron has already connected with while still in California is Travers, who has been in the States for the past few weeks working on his game and preparing for NBA Summer League.

“I met Luke Travers for the first time the other day. It was cool to connect, I like his game a lot.

“I have seen him play in the NBL a lot but to meet face to face and get to know a new teammate is always cool. I think we’ll link up well on the court.”
