Delly ready to ‘pick up where we left off’

Written by Melbourne United Media
After leading United to a first-place finish in the regular season in NBL22, Matthew Dellavedova returned to the NBA, playing a pivotal role in helping the Sacramento Kings break their seemingly endless playoff drought.
Now back with United and surrounded by a collection of new and familiar talent, the Australian basketball icon is ready to get right back to work on the court.
“That chemistry won’t have gone anywhere, I think we’ll be able to pick up right where we left off with guys like Chris (Goulding), Shea (Ili), Jo (Lual-Acuil Jr), (Brad) Newley and Ariel (Hukporti),” he said.
“Then having a guy like Luke Travers coming in, I’m familiar with his game having gone against him in Perth and have heard a lot of great things about him from the staff in Cleveland.
“We’ve got a great mix of talent and with Dean bringing us all together and playing in front of our great crowds, we can do something really special this season.”
With Tanner Krebs, Flynn Cameron and Kyle Bowen, along with Development Players Zac Triplett and Campbell Blogg rounding out United’s impressive local core, fans of the club have high hopes for another strong showing come NBL24.
