THIS IS IT UNITED FANS!
It’s our last home game of NBL25, and we need you to be as loud as possible as we look to clinch a Championship Series victory on Wednesday night inside John Cain Arena from 7:30pm.
After falling just short in Game 2, we bounced back in a big way on the road for Game 3, erasing a 10-point deficit in the final period to come away with a 83-77 victory.
We will be hoping to channel our previous Championship history on Wednesday, having won both our titles as United in front of our home fans.
WHO’S HOT, WHO’S NOT
(Past five games)
United - L, W, W, L, W
Hawks - L, W, L, W, L
Needing to shift the momentum of the fourth quarter, a return to the elite level of defence we have played all season was the catalyst in our Game 3 win in Wollongong.
We limited the Hawks to just 10 points in the last term; their lowest scoring quarter across all of NBL25. This wasn’t Illawarra’s only season-low, with 77 points their lowest total of the season.
For Illawarra to turn it around on Wednesday, they need to find their range from deep.
The Hawks shot the ball as just 22.2% from beyond the arc, their lowest showing of the Finals series.
STARS COLLIDE
When the game was in the balance, Matthew Dellavedova stood tall, taking control of the contest in an epic, match-winning effort.
Down the stretch, Dellavedova scored nine of his 18 points while providing his usual level of high-IQ play from the point guard position.
On the other side, Illawarra will be hoping Tyler Harvey can repeat his Game 2 heroics in the do-or-die game.
Harvey managed just seven points in his 27 minutes of play, missing all seven of his attempts from beyond the arc.
