We’re back at home for our second home game of the season

Melbourne United is set to return to John Cain Arena this Sunday for a huge clash with the Adelaide 36ers to close Round 4 of the Hungry Jack’s NBL25 season.

The game is one for our fans to celebrate, as it will mark the 450th appearance for captain and club legend, Chris Goulding.

CG43, who knocked down five three-pointers last Sunday, will be looking to deliver United our first home win of the season and improve our record to 4-2 after six games.

For Adelaide, three straight victories has the 36ers excited as they head into Melbourne. Road games against United have been a challenge for Adelaide over the past decade, having only won three of their 19 games against Melbourne inside John Cain Arena.

WHO’S HOT, WHO’S NOT

United - W, W, L, W, L

36ers - L, L, W, W, W

It was a tale of two games for United in Round 3. After registering the largest win thus far this NBL season, we struggled to find consistency two nights later against the Taipans.

Having not lost back-to-back regular season games since December 2022, expect Dean Vickerman’s squad to come out with force on Sunday.

On the Adelaide side, it has been effort on the boards that has helped fuel their three-game winning streak.

Against the Kings on Friday night, the Sixers dominated inside, with Montrezl Harrell and Isaac Humphries combining for 22 boards.

STARS COLLIDE

Speaking of Harrell, he will look to continue his explosive run through the NBL when he takes to John Cain Arena for the first time.

Ranked in the top-10 for rebounds and blocks, the former NBA star has been a handful for opponents across his first five games.

Looking to slow down the American will be Jack White, who is well established as one of the league’s best defensive forwards.

White tallied four blocks in Round 3, meeting his opposition at the rim and contesting opportunities around the hoop.
