ENGIE to power Melbourne United through NBL24 and beyond

Melbourne United is excited to announce that ENGIE, a leading global energy provider backed by more than 180 years of innovation and experience, and with ambition to achieve net zero by 2045, has joined the club as a major partner for the next three seasons.

Melbourne United will proudly represent ENGIE on the front of their playing and training kits to reflect its support over the next three seasons.

Following the announcement, MD ENGIE Retail, Australia Shannon Hyde said:

“We’re excited to join forces with Melbourne United as a major partner, to support their energy transition journey and cement our growing position in Australia,” he said.

“ENGIE’s commitment to a net zero future is underpinned by allied partnerships, and actively supporting communities where they live, work and play, including at the basketball.

These sentiments were echoed by Melbourne United CEO Nick Truelson.

“The club is thrilled to welcome ENGIE on as our new major partner for the next three  years. The club is keenly focused on aligning with like-minded community brands who share our purpose of engaging and enriching our community, and in ENGIE we have found that partner.

We are excited to be aligning with a brand who has sustainability at the heart of what they do and we look forward to partnering with ENGIE on our sustainability efforts”.

Truelson continued:

“We can’t wait to work alongside ENGIE to create change while we enjoy a successful NBL24 and strive to win another NBL championship.”

ENGIE will be distributing eco bags at Melbourne United community programs.
