Jack White sidelined by finger injury

It has today been confirmed Melbourne United’s Jack White suffered a dislocated and fractured finger following an incident late in the 4th quarter of the NBL Cup game against the Adelaide 36ers on Thursday night.
White fell heavily following an attempted dunk with 3.5 seconds left on the clock. The injury is to the small finger on his right hand and was repaired via surgery on Friday.
White will miss the next 4-6 weeks.
Shea Ili will make his return to the squad on Saturday night, when Melbourne United take on the Sydney Kings at John Cain Arena.
Ili has been out with injury since round 4, when he rolled his ankle against the Bullets in Brisbane.
Ili will be a welcomed addition to United’s guard stocks, with Chris Goulding still sidelined with a calf injury.
Yudai Baba will also be subject to a fitness test prior to Saturday night’s game, after suffering a corked calf against the 36ers on Thursday night.
Dillon Stith and Sam Short remain part of the active roster as injury replacements, while Mason Peatling (DP) will be elevated to the active roster should Baba not pass his fitness test.
Melbourne United face the Sydney Kings at 8:00pm Saturday 27th February, in the second game of the Saturday’s double header at John Cain Arena, in front of what is predicted to be a sell-out crowd.
Limited tickets remain and are available via NBLCup.com.au or Ticketek.Fans at home will be able to view the game on ESPN and SBS On Demand, or listen on 1116 SEN.
