Lee making up for lost time

For Marcus Lee, the desire for Playoff success couldn't be greater.
Having come into the league as a mid-season replacement in NBL23, the high–flying big man helped us string together 10 wins out of our final 13 games that season.
While this was the league’s best record over the final 10 rounds, the team ultimately fell short on making the postseason by percentage.
With the JackJumpers the following season, Lee played a pivotal role, but ultimately was forced off the floor by injury during the team’s championship victory.
Now set for his first appearance in the Playoffs with us, Lee touched on how badly he wants to have success.
“We had a level of confidence leading into the end of that season (NBL23) that we could beat anyone and win a championship if we made it into the playoffs.
“I think a lot of other teams knew that too and just didn’t want to say it. We didn’t get that opportunity and it hurt. Now being back here, I feel like I’m trying to make up for that.
“Even with last year, yes I technically won a championship but I feel like it has an asterisk next to it.
“There’s nothing I want to do more than have success with this team and for these fans, because they deserve it.”
