Written by Melbourne United Media
With the NBL1 Finals fast approaching our guys were doing everything they can around the country to lead their teams!
Makuach Maluach - Darwin
It was another huge night of scoring for Makuach Maluach, whose Darwin Salties went down in a close game at home.
Maluach, who is averaging 25 points per game in the NBL1 North, tallied his highest scoring game of the year, notching 36 points and 13 rebounds in the 11-point defeat.
Shea Ili - Sandringham
It was another masterful game for Shea Ili, who conducted the Sabres offence perfectly in a comeback win over Keilor.
Despite leading for less than seven minutes of action, Ili did a bit of everything to help Sandringham to another victory, scoring 23 points, including five three pointers, and pulling down seven rebounds.
David Okwera - Sandringham
Playing his first game back in the NBL1 South after winning a gold medal with the Boomers in the Asia Cup, David Okwera picked up right where he left off.
The young star was active all game, finishing with 10 points and five rebounds.
David Barlow - Sandringham
Returning to the bench due to the returns of David Okwera and Tohi Smith-Milner, David Barlow played a massive role in the Sabres win.
In 24 minutes of play, Barlow was +20, while adding nine points, five rebounds and two steals.
Davo Hickey - Casey
Facing a tough Kilsyth team, Davo Hickey did his best to help Casey at home.
Davo and the Cavs got out to a hot start, however the Cobras were able to pull away in the second half, despite Hickey’s 17 points.
