Melbourne United NBL21 Jersey Released

Melbourne United is pleased to announce its jersey will remain unchanged from last season as a result of strong positive feedback from a range of stakeholders, including members and players.

Melbourne United CEO Vince Crivelli said he was looking forward to seeing the popular jersey continue into next season, with the club also exploring more ways to innovate the original design through themed rounds.

“The design of the jersey last year was really well received from all stakeholders,” he said.

“Members, fans and the players loved it and we thought it represented us well and spoke to who we are.”

NBL teams traditionally update their jersey designs each season, but the choice was made based on the feedback received to keep the design the same for NBL21.

This will be the first time Melbourne United has worn the same design in back-to-back seasons, since the rebrand over 5 years ago.

Melbourne United superstar Chris Goulding also commended the repeat of last season’s jersey.

“I really liked last year’s jersey, and with keeping it pretty similar, I think the fans will be pretty happy with that,” he said.

“I just can’t wait to get out onto Melbourne Arena wearing it.”

Renowned brand Champion were recently announced as the NBL’s on-court apparel sponsor and will be manufacturing the NBL jerseys for the next three seasons.

The jerseys include sports performance fabrications to absorb moisture, are made of a lightweight material and feature overlapping side seams for ease of movement.

The Melbourne United team are now well into a vigorous pre-season, preparing for the upcoming NBL21 season. With an announcement about the start date of the season expected in the coming weeks, fans can now begin to get excited about the return of the NBL.
