Melbourne United thrilled to extend partnership with SodaStream

Melbourne United is delighted to announce a new two-year partnership with SodaStream, extending a deal which has been in place since 2017.
As part of ‘Thanksgiving Week’, United are taking the opportunity to thank the club’s various stakeholders after a tough year for both the city and state.
SodaStream will continue to feature prominently on the team’s home and away jerseys for at least the next two seasons, while also retaining their presence on the John Cain Arena home court (previously Melbourne Arena) as part of the renewed partnership.
Melbourne United CEO Vince Crivelli said it was an honour to see a global brand such as SodaStream re-commit ahead of the new season.
“We are thrilled and thankful to have SodaStream continue their partnership journey with us,” Crivelli said.
“It’s a tremendous honour to have their confidence and ongoing support. They are a global brand with an incredible heritage and story, they are one of the most innovative, inclusive, and genuinely a great company filled with authentic, positive and motivated people at every level.
“SodaStream has also played a significant role in the club’s charity initiatives, assisting in Melbourne United’s response to the bushfire crisis which engulfed parts of the state earlier this year.”
Crivelli said it was that alignment of values which made the partnership between Melbourne United and SodaStream so strong.
“We have shared values, behaviour and a close bond that has been formed over recent seasons,” he said.
“SodaStream have also stepped up significantly in the community assisting in our bushfire appeal last year and have a real desire to make an impact on environmental issues that impact all of us and we look forward to supporting these campaigns this season.
“It’s that can-do attitude, sense of responsibility and entrepreneurial spirit that closely align us.”
Managing director of SodaStream Australia Mark Fenton said he was thrilled to extend the company’s partnership with Melbourne United at a time of exciting growth for the SodaStream brand.
“As a sporting organisation, Melbourne United are all about health and wellness, staying fit and hydrated, and this perfectly aligns with what the SodaStream brand stands for too,” he said.
“Melbourne United are a value-based, family and people focused organisation, just like SodaStream. It really is a perfect match.
“Over the past two years, we’ve loved being part of the Melbourne United family, and as huge lovers of the sport, we are incredibly excited to continue the partnership for a further two years or more.”
SodaStream has been, and will continue to be, leading the charge in better for you and better for the planet beverages made at home. Their system enables consumers to reduce their carbon footprint by using one reusable carbonating bottle to make beverages rather than purchasing single-use plastic bottles that end up in landfill, our beaches, parks and oceans.
Fenton said the company would continue to work with the club to find more sustainable options within their operations and during game days.
“Small changes can make big differences,” Fenton said.
Once again, thank you to SodaStream and all of our 2021 partners. This upcoming season wouldn’t be possible without you.
