Melbourne United unveil highlight filled home schedule

Melbourne United fans are set to enjoy a spectacular collection of home games following the release of the side’s schedule for the NBL24 season.

The league’s best supporters have been rewarded with an amazing slate of games at John Cain Arena, including nine Sunday afternoon matchups, and three prime-time Saturday night clashes.

The schedule also features a pair of mid-week showcases, coming in Round 1 as part of a blockbuster season-opening Throwdown against the SEM Phoenix on Thursday 28 September, and in Round 6 when United hosts a Cup Day Eve clash with the Perth Wildcats as part of Indigenous Round.

NBL24 will also see the return of a number of United’s marquee game days, including the Grassroots Games (Round 3), Multicultural Game (Round 4, subject to change), Halloween Game (Round 5), Member Appreciation Game (Round 9) and Open Air Game (Round 12).

Having so many can’t-miss opportunities to see their team take the court next season is exactly what United’s fans deserve according to club CEO Nick Truelson.

“After a tight home game schedule last season we are delighted to have such a fantastic NBL24 schedule,” he said.

“Our members, corporates and fans provided us feedback that they wanted more Sunday games and a more even spread of home games and we have been able to deliver on that with the league.

“Our themed games will be back bigger and better than ever this year. Along with our Cup Day Eve Game against Perth coming as part of the league’s Indigenous Round, we will also celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the Melbourne Tigers first Championship. We also look forward to taking the Champion Pride Round to the next level.

“We can’t wait to put up the Sold Out sign at JCA across the whole season more than we ever have.”
