The jerseys feature a design representing the multicultural nature of the city of Melbourne

Melbourne United is excited to unveil the club’s new, bespoke Multicultural Jerseys, which are set to be debuted in Round 4 against the New Zealand Breakers as part of The Multicultural Game.

Having originated in United’s NBL20 campaign as the ‘Diverse-City Jersey’, Melbourne United’s Multicultural Jersey and subsequent Multicultural Games have become a staple within the club as we look to best represent the diverse and inclusive nature of the city that we play in.

Designed featuring an amalgamation of flags from around the globe, when United take to the court against the NZ Breakers on Sunday 22 October, they will look to showcase the culture Melbourne is known for on a global scale.

Melbourne United CEO Nick Truleson touched on the importance of the jersey, as well as The Multicultural Game itself.

“At Melbourne United, making sure that we create the most inclusive environment possible is a top priority in everything that we do,” he explained.

“This obviously extends to our Multicultural Jerseys and The Multicultural Game, which are crucially important to not only our players, coaches and staff, but to the wider community of Victoria.

“Being able to showcase the tremendous culture and diversity within our club and within the city of Melbourne is a tremendous thing which we take great pride in each and every time our players wear these uniforms.”

The newly designed jerseys are available online now along with a range of Multicultural supporter merchandise.

The jersey will also be available for purchase at our game day merch store from this weekend.

Limited tickets for the game remain available here.
