NBA and NBL champion Ian Clark believes Melbourne United has all the talent to compete for the ultimate prize in NBL24

Melbourne United’s roster for NBL24 is undoubtedly an impressive one, featuring superstars from across the globe and a pair of NBA champions in Ian Clark and Matthew Dellavedova.

After duking it out in 2016, where Delly took home the gold, Clark lifted the Larry O’Brien Trophy the following season against Dellavedova’s former team.

Now teammates, the American sharpshooter believes their partnership, along with the surrounding talent on United, has the potential to lift the club back to championship glory.

“All in all together, I think we have the pieces to be a championship team,” he told The Extra Pass Podcast.

“We’ve got shooting, we’ve got length, we’ve got depth, we’ve got size, and I think it’s just about putting it all together.

“We’re all versatile. We’ve got guys that can play off the ball, guys that can play on the ball, we have shooting so we can spread the floor.

“Coach just talked earlier about how we can have three guys: me, Tanner (Krebs), CG (Chris Goulding) that can shoot the ball. We can space the floor for those guys down low to go to work.”

As excitement builds towards the start of United’s NBL24 campaign, the time is now to lock in your seat for each and every game at John Cain Arena!
