Off-season Games Wrap: Bowen slams home last-second win

While Melbourne United’s stars playing locally got to enjoy the long weekend, we still had a collection of players hit the court across the rest of the globe.
Kyle Bowen put together the most impressive stat-line of the weekend, helping Canterbury maintain a top-two spot on the NZNBL ladder with an overtime victory against the Otago Nuggets.
Bowen did a bit of everything throughout his minutes, however the highlight game came down the stretch of the OT period when he slammed home what would prove to be the game-winning bucket.
The only team sitting above the Rams on the ladder is Shea Ili’s Wellington Saints, who picked up a dominant, 40-point win at the weekend.
In Puerto Rico, Chris Goulding and the Cangrejeros bounced back with a win over Bryce Cotton and Mets de Guaynabo. Goulding splashed a trio of three-pointers while Ian Clark added a game-high 24 points.
Moving to Germany, Fabijan Krslovic and Phoenix Hagan missed the opportunity to move up the competition table, falling short in their contest against Bremerhaven.
