United young gun David Okwera's development has been well documented within his time at the club, however now it was a different kind of rise that got heads turning on Thursday.

Okwera, 20, flew higher than all of his teammates during Melbourne’s jump testing, soaring into the air to record an unbelievable 11 foot, 10 inch (3.6 metre) max reach.

This elite athleticism has been on display all off-season in the NBL1, where Okwera has thrived with the Sandringham Sabres, averaging close to 13 points and 10 rebounds per game.

The forward narrowly beat out returning Next Star Ariel Hukporti, who registered an 11 foot, nine inch (3.58m) max reach.

Incoming highlight machine Rayjon Tucker finished in third, flying high to notch an 11 foot, seven inch (3.5m) max reach, despite standing only 192cm, compared to Okwera (209cm) and Hukporti (213cm).
