Squad update: Lual-Acuil Jr to return, Dellavedova out for Round 4

Melbourne United star Jo Lual-Acuil Jr is set to make his season debut on Friday evening when the team travels to Wollongong to face the Illawarra Hawks.

The former league MVP finalist has been sidelined for United’s first five games due to wrist surgery undertaken in the offseason.

While Lual-Acuil Jr comes back into the squad, Matthew Dellavedova will sit out Melbourne’s pair of Round 4 games following a concussion sustained in Sunday’s game against Brisbane.

A further update will be provided ahead of United’s Round 5 slate of games.

Rob Loe will remain in the lineup to replace Dellavedova.
