Welcome to STAT WRAP, Melbourne United’s weekly round-up of all the key stats from our games. Take a look below at who shined on the court, and the trends leading the way throughout the team.
DELLY DISHING DIMES
Always looking to get his teammates involved, Matthew Dellavedova’s playmaking has been at a career-best level this season.
The star guard tallied 16 assists and only three turnovers across Round 12, finding cutters slashing towards the rim and shooters open on the perimeter.
After leading the league in assists per game last season, Dellavedova is averaging even more assists in NBL25 (6.9) and currently sits second in assists per game, only behind Adelaide’s Kendrick Davis, who plays over nine minutes more per game.

REBOUNDING THE KEY MOVING FORWARD
A clear in our pair of losses in Round 12 was our deficiency in the rebounding department.
In six of our seven defeats this season, including against the Hawks and Phoenix, we have lost the rebound count.
When we win the rebounding matchup, we own a 10-1 record, with an average margin of victory of 16.6 points.
With import big-man Marcus Lee likely to return from a back complaint in Round 13, expect him, along with the rest of our stars, to be crashing the glass hard.
ALIIR ANSWERS THE CALL
Missing Lee for both Round 12 games, Dean Vickerman called on rookie forward Akech Aliir to provide some energy off the bench.
On Friday night Aliir tallied a career-high 10 points in 13 minutes, which he followed with four points, one assist and a steal on Sunday afternoon.
In both games, Aliir finished in the positive in terms of plus/minus, delivering strong effort plays at both ends.
United’s stars will look to bounce back in what is shaping up to be the biggest game on the NBL25 calendar: THE OPEN AIR GAME!
Set for 23 December from 7:30pm, it is an absolutely can’t-miss event for all sporting fans. If you’re looking for tickets, keep your eyes locked on United’s socials, or if you can’t make it, tune in live via ESPN.
