Welcome to STAT WRAP, Melbourne United’s weekly round-up of all the key stats from our games. Take a look below at who shined on the court, and the trends leading the way throughout the team.
BOWEN BRINGING THE ENERGY
Stepping into the starting lineup following Jack White’s late omission from Saturday night’s game, Kyle Bowen delivered one of the best games of his young NBL career.

Bowen finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal, as well as helping us outscore the Phoenix by 22 points in his 31 minutes on the court.
On top of this, the St Mary’s product put the clamps on MVP finalist Matt Hurt, limiting the import to just 14 points on 5/13 shooting.
COMING UP CLUTCH
After a first half that left much to be desired, our second half showing was spectacular, as we outscored the Phoenix by 18 points.
The victory was the second consecutive game where we have outscored our opponent by double-digits in the fourth quarter, and continued a trend of producing big plays down the stretch.
Across our last seven games, six of which have been wins, we have outscored opponents by an average of 4.1 points in the final period, which is the highest mark by any team since Round 16.
CASH MONEY KREBS
Needing such timely buckets on Saturday night, Tanner Krebs shined in big moments off the bench.
The 29-year-old sharpshooter scored a season-high 16 points and equalled his career-high of four made three-pointers.
This capped off a tremendous regular season for Krebs, who averaged a career-high in three-pointers made (1.2) and three-point shooting percentage (37.2%) while playing in all 29 of our games.
