The festival will be a celebration of the diversity that makes our city so special

Melbourne United is excited to announce that the Multicultural Festival will be back once again, thanks to major partners City of Melbourne.

Across the past few seasons, the free festival has been a great way to showcase and celebrate the diversity that makes Melbourne such a special and unique city.

Starting at 12:30pm on Melbourne Park Oval, the festival is the perfect event to get you ready for our blockbuster clash with the South East Melbourne Phoenix in The Multicultural Game.

“Celebrate diversity at this year’s Melbourne United Multicultural Festival, which focuses on bringing the community together and creating connections through sport,” the City of Melbourne said in a message to fans.

“Bring your friends, family and neighbours for a day of free activities – including music, dance, sport and art.”

The event will feature a number of exciting stalls and activities, such as African Star Dancers, food trucks, face painting and henna art, a shooting competition and free junior basketball clinics.

Tiffany Hunter, from Nerdu Badji Education and Tiffany Hunters Studio will also be at the festival, showcasing and explaining powerful works of art where her stories come to life through vibrant colours, symbols and animals. You have a unique opportunity to contribute to a collaborative piece, celebrating unity and cultural diversity where this piece of work will be proudly hung with Melbourne United in Remembrance of our Multicultural Festival 2024.
