The team will suit up in the bespoke kit for their Throwdown XXVI clash with the Phoenix on October 20

Melbourne United is excited to unveil our new Multicultural Uniform, which will be worn during The Multicultural Game on October 20 against the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

This will be the fifth season the fan-favourite uniform will be seen out on the court. The uniforms, which were designed in conjunction with SouthSouthWest, have always aimed to represent the diverse nature of basketball and Melbourne itself, while also celebrating the many cultures of the playing group and staff surrounding Melbourne United.

This year’s edition features the inclusion of the fabric of Melbourne into the design, which ties the uniform to our connection to the city in which we play, while paying homage to the flags and colours of our players' backgrounds.

This extends to the back of the uniform, which includes the flags of each player’s country placed above their number.

Over the years, we have enjoyed great success playing in our Multicultural Uniforms, most notably winning the NBL21 Championship in a three-game sweep over the Perth Wildcats.

Across the past three seasons, the team has won all three of their Multicultural Game matchups by an average margin of 20.3 points per game.

Our Multicultural Uniforms will go on sale via our website from October 13, and will be available to purchase at our clash with the Adelaide 36ers this Sunday at John Cain Arena.

Supporter merch and the streetwear range of the Multicultural Game will then become available via the website and at John Cain Arena on October 20.

Tickets for both our matchup with the 36ers this Sunday, and The Multicultural Game remain available here.
