United launch sensory room at John Cain Arena

Melbourne United are proud to announce the unveiling of their new sensory room at John Cain Arena.
The sensory room will be available for children and their families in an inclusive sensory environment to watch the defending champions live in a quiet, comfortable space.
Featuring a number of activities located behind the suite glass, children can be away from the noise of United’s roaring crowd, but can still watch the game live. The option for parents and children to watch from in front of the glass from the seated balcony will also be available.
The space will be available for children aged up to 14, but will be multifunctional, and can also be used for adults.
Speaking about the announcement, Melbourne United CEO Nick Truelson touched on the importance of the room as the club strives to be as inclusive and welcoming as possible.
“We are very proud to announce a sensory room at our home stadium, John Cain Arena.
“With one of our key club values being inclusive, it is very important that we live and breathe our values and at the same time create an inclusive environment for all of our members, fans and partners.
“Joe and Renae Ingles have led the way locally and globally in providing awareness and understanding of Autism and other related sensory sensitives and we look forward to playing our role in learning, educating and creating a welcoming environment for all.”
Launching on March 10, fans can swap their game tickets at hte Club Information Desk for access to the sensory room for that game. Available until room capacity is exhausted.
