United ready for blockbuster home double-header

Ahead of a huge pair of Round 4 home games, Melbourne United star center Isaac Humphries says his side is ready for the challenge posed by both the Cairns Taipans and the Sydney Kings.
Looking at the games, Humpries said United will have to bring their “A-game” for both matchups due to the sheer strength of every side across NBL23.

“I think in the NBL, a lot of people forget that teams are so close,” he said.
“There’s no big deficit in teams, anyone can beat anyone on any night and you have to be on your A-game all the time because there’s no bad teams.”
“I just think it’ll be another challenge for us… we’re just excited to get better and play against another opponent.”
After a pair of injury-hampered seasons Humpries appears to be back stronger than ever, having scored a season-high 17 points against Perth on Friday, as well as leading the league in blocks per game (2.3).
Head Coach Dean Vickerman also fronted the media and gave his thoughts ahead his side's action-packed Round 4.
Thursday night will be Melbourne’s first chance to face Cairns, who currently sit fourth on the league table, and are coming off a win against the Kings in Sydney.
United will then shift their attention to Sydney, when they host their rivals in a huge Sunday afternoon showdown.
