Vickerman eagerly awaiting celebration of Members on Sunday

One of our favourite games of the season is here, as Sunday marks the return of the Member Appreciation Game.

A celebration of the amazing people that help drive our success at Melbourne United, Head Coach Dean Vickerman said he is eagerly anticipating playing in front of our Members once again on Sunday.

“Whenever you go on the road and play these doubles, you know you’re going to walk back into John Cain (Arena) and it’s going to be a packed house,” Vickerman said.

“Seeing our fans and the support they’ve given us, it’s great for us to spend a little bit of time after the game to celebrate with them for the support they’ve given us all year.”

This year has been the biggest in the club’s history for Memberships, having fully sold out of every Membership category for the first time.

Over 6,000 Members have signed up to be a part of our NBL25 campaign, fuelling the club with their energy and helping us produce the league’s most unforgettable gameday experience.

Rob Loe, who is experiencing the passion produced by our Members for the second consecutive season, says the playing group can always feel their energy, whether they’re at home or on the road.

“Our fans back home have got us this far and it’s going to be a huge game on Sunday against Brisbane,” Loe continued.

“It’s the Member Appreciation Game, and they’re behind us 100% and we see them and hear them when we play our road games.”
