Melbourne United's season has come to an end following a two-point defeat in Game 5 of the NBL Championship series.
Jo Lual-Acuil Jr exploded at the hoop to start the game, throwing down a thunderous dunk before United built up an early lead.
Tasmania were able to claw their way back, reducing the margin to five points at the end of the first period.
Despite some strong play from MU, the JackJumpers continued their push forward in the second, tying up the game as the teams headed into the major break.
Fuelled by another sold-out crowd, United were able to take charge in the third, making big plays at both ends of the floor, such as an Ariel Hukporti swat, a deep Chris Goulding three, and a JLA putback to take a 63-59 advantage into the final 10 minutes.
In the end however it was not to be for Melbourne, falling two points short at the final buzzer.
