Biography
Once he took on the point guard role in NBL24 at the Adelaide 36ers he was a big reason for their form turnaround and now will look to bring that same sort of impact to the Illawarra Hawks.
He began his NBL career in 2022/23 at the South East Melbourne Phoenix ahead of joining the Sixers in NBL24, and after some mixed form early on, once he was moved into the point guard role he was able to thrive.
Over a stretch of 10 games late in the season, he provided 20.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists and was instrumental in Adelaide's revival under coach Scott Ninnis.
It's that exact playmaking role the Hawks will be looking for the 28-year-old to bring to the backcourt alongside Tyler Harvey in NBL25 as they attempt to back up their finals appearance last season.
Was already a well-travelled professional by the time he arrived in the NBL at the Phoenix for the 2022/23 season since his college career at San Diego State University.
Started his professional career playing in Bosnia before stints in the Canadian NBL, Hong Kong, Poland and Italy including winning a 2022 championship most recently with Olimpia Milano before joining the Phoenix.
In 24 games at South East Melbourne, he had 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists, but it was as a point guard he truly shone with Adelaide last season as a player who can run the offence, create for his teammates, score himself and also rebound the basketball.
